Day 1: Depart USA to India. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.

Day 2: Arrive to Delhi and transfer to your hotel: The Connaught.

Day 3: This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Srinagar, the summer capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The city of Srinagar has been serving as a gateway to some of the most scenic and beautiful places of the Indian subcontinent. Meet your our director upon arrival, who will assist you with a transfer and check-in to your Srinagar Deluxe Houseboat on Dal Lake. Late afternoon you will have a Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating markets and vegetable gardens. Also witness walnut wood carving and Papier machie making demonstration.(B,D)

Day 4: Your sightseeing tour includes Mughal Gardens. Visit Nishat Bagh, Abode of Pleasure, built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632, and Shalimar Bagh, Abode of Love, built by Jehangir for his wife, Empress Noor Jehan. All gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with Zabarwan Mountains in the background. See work of local craftsmen on the carpet-weaving factory. (B,L,D)

Day 5: After breakfast full day excursion to Sonmarg, or Golden Meadow, with packed lunch from the houseboat. Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonmarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. You may have a horse ride up to Thajwas Glacier and sledge riding on snow. Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar and stay one more night in your deluxe houseboat. (B,L,D)

Day 6: In the morning drive to the Valley of Sheperds. En route you will see Awantipura ruins, 1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwarewan, saffron and rice fields. Drive through the pine forest on a higher elevation. Arrive in Pahalgam and check in to your resort hotel: Senator Pine-N-Peak. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Pahalgam is a jewel of Kashmir. Its natural splendor is described by snow clad mountain peaks on all sides, a white water river that traverses the bottoms of the narrow valley, and a weather that makes the summers a charm. Add to it trekking, golf, angling and pony rides, and you have the recipe of a perfect, world class vacation. You have a full day free for individual activities. (B,L,D)

Day 8: After breakfast drive to Gulmarg. That resort area has excellent ski slopes and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. You can have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. Mountains and valleys in the area are fascinating. You can have a short trek up to Khilangmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hours. Also enjoy sledge riding on snow. Chair lifts for mountain ride are also available. Overnight stay in Highlands Park. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Morning will be free at leisure. Afternoon drive back to Srinagar. On arrival in Srinagar check in to Srinagar Deluxe Houseboat. (B,L,D)

Day 10: Depart for Kargil, which gives visitors a marvelous introduction to this spectacular destination, while easing the acclimatization process to the high altitude low oxygen atmosphere of Ladakh. On the way, visit Zojila Pass, which is 3600 meters above sea level. Check in to your hotel: Caravan Sarai. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Early morning drive to high desert mountains. You will go over well-known Namika-La (3,600 meters)and Fatu-La (4,000 meters) passes. See Mulbekh Chamba and Lamayuru Monastery. On reaching Uleytokpo check in to Ule Ethnic Resort. (B,L,D)

Day 12: Continue exploring beautiful Ladakh region. See splendid monasteries Alchi, Likir and Phyang. After that drive along the River Indus and reach Leh, principal town of Ladakh. The town is still dominated by the Royal Palace, which resembles a mini-Potala Palace. Leh is at an altitude of 3650 meters (11,975 feet). Check in to your hotel: Royal Palace. (B,L,D)

Day 13: Enjoy your full-day excursion to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. (B,L,D)
